Subject: Communication from the Founders Rotary Club, in partnership with the Racine Rotary West Club Foundation and the Downtown Rotary Foundation, requesting the name of Festival Park Drive be renamed Rotary Park Drive. (Res. 0119-18)
Recommendation of the Public Works and Services Committee on 02-27-18: That this item be deferred for a Public Hearing to be held before the April 4, 2018 Common Council meeting regarding the renaming of Festival Park Drive to Rotary Park Drive.
Further recommends this item be referred back to the Public Works and Services Committee after the Public Hearing on April 4, 2018.
Recommendation of the Public Works and Services Committee on 04-10-18: That the request to change the name of Festival Park Drive to Rotary Park Drive be approved.
Further recommends the City cover the costs for the fabrication and installation of three street name signs, recording an amendment to the appropriate subdivision plat with the County, updating of various City databases, and informing outside entities of the street name change in the not-to-exceed amount of $500.00.
Fiscal Note: The maximum cost to the City is $500.00 with any additional cost being billed to the requester.
