Title
Daycare and Preschool Facility at 3319 Washington Avenue
Resolved, that the request by Nichole Mauer, of Mauer Home School, LLC., to operate a day care and preschool facility at 3319 Washington Avenue is approved, subject to the following conditions:
a. That the plans and information presented to the Plan Commission on May 25, 2016 be approved subject to the conditions contained herein.
b. That all codes and ordinances shall be complied with and all required permits obtained prior to issuance of an occupancy permit.
c. That all required State licenses be obtained and inspections performed, passed, and maintained to State and local standards at all times.
d. That a copy of the official transferred licensed, and indication of care capacity numbers as authorized by the State, shall be provided to the Department of City Development within 30 days of issuance of an occupancy permit.
e. That there be adequate certified staff, as dictated by State licensing requirements, present at all times children are on the premises.
f. That the hours of operation shall be Monday - Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m.
g. That no drop-off or pick-up of children shall take place on Washington Avenue or Blaine Avenue.
h. That the applicant shall provide detail on dumpster screening materials for review and approval to the Department of City Development prior to installation and issuance of an occupancy permit.
i. That information on security measures shall be presented to the Department of City Development for review and approval prior to issuance of an occupancy permit.
j. That proposed business signage shall be submitted to the Department of City Development for review and approval prior to installation or issuance of sign permits.
k. That the Plan Commission and Common Council concur and accept the alternative compliance presented, thus considering the group day care criteria as being met for this application.
l. That the Commission authorizes an exception to the parking requirement, allowing zero (0) on-site parking spaces where 26 are required, with the agreement that the applicant shall secure off-street parking for no fewer than ten (10) vehicles at all times.
m. That the applicant shall provide confirmation from City Engineering / Transit Department of the security of no less than ten (10) parking spaces within the public lot prior to issuance of an occupancy permit.
n. That no minor changes be made from the conditions of this permit without the approval of the Plan Commission, and no major changes be made from the conditions of this permit without the approval of the Common Council.
o. That this permit is subject to review by the Plan Commission for compliance with the listed conditions.
