Automobile and Painting Garage - 1202 N. Main Street

 

Resolved, that a conditional use permit is granted to operate an automobile repair and painting garage at 1202 N. Main Street, subject to the following conditions:

 

a.That the plans presented to the Plan Commission on November 13, 2013 be approved subject to the conditions contained herein.

 

b. That all applicable building and occupancy permits be obtained from the Building Inspection Department.

 

c. That the hours of operation shall be from 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday.  These hours shall be adhered to without exception.

 

d. That all work shall take place within the garage, including storage of parts and equipment.  Working on vehicles in the parking lot or street is not allowed.

 

e. That there shall be no vehicle sales at this location.

 

f. That no vehicles waiting service or pick-up may be parked on the street.  All vehicles being serviced shall be limited to private passenger automobiles and personal trucks or vans.  No commercial vehicle repair is allowed.

 

g. That the striping of the parking lot shall be adhered to.  No parking of vehicles awaiting service or pick up resulting in haphazard parking around the property shall be permitted. The number of vehicles being serviced or awaiting pick up shall not exceed the existing layout and striping of the parking lot.

 

h. That no junk or parts vehicles shall be on the site unless stored indoors.  All vehicles in the parking lot shall be hold current licenses for operation. Seasonal or long-term storage of vehicles is prohibited.  No outdoor storage is allowed.

 

i. That all doors and windows to the building must remained closed while vehicle work is being done to lessen the impact of noise on the surrounding neighborhoods.

 

j. That if noise concerns become a problem at this site, this approval shall be brought back to the Plan Commission to discuss action on dealing with the noise intrusions.

 

k. That signage is not approved with this review.  All signage shall be subject to review and approval by the Director of City Development.

 

l. That all trash shall be stored inside the building and removed at regular intervals.

 

m. That all codes and ordinances be complied with and required permits acquired.

 

n. That no minor changes be made from the conditions of this permit without the approval of the Plan Commission and no major changes be made from the conditions of this permit without the approval of the Common Council.

 

o. That this permit is subject to Plan Commission review for compliance with the listed conditions.
