Subject: (Direct Referral) Communication sponsored by Mayor Mason, on behalf Michael Godfrey, requesting permission to close certain City Streets on Friday, June 19, 2026 between 10:00am and 9:00pm in order to hold the Tour of America's Dairyland bike race.
Staff Recommendation: That the request be approved and the applicant be granted permission to close the following City streets:
Main Street from 4th Street to 6th Street
6th Street from Main Street to Library Drive
Library Drive from 6th Street to Sam Johnson Parkway
Sam Johnson Parkway from Library Drive to Lake Avenue
Lake Avenue from Sam Johnson Parkway to 4th Street
4th Street from Lake Avenue to Main Street
Further recommends that the Commissioner of Public Works, City Engineer, and Chief of Police provide limited assistance in the interest of public safety to implement this event.
Fiscal Note: There will be nominal costs to various City Departments, on a regular basis, to assist in implementing this event.
