Title: Permission for retired police officers to carry concealed weapons Resolved, that permission be granted to the Chief of Police, pursuant to the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 HR218, Public Law 108-277, 18 U.S.C. 926C, to allow retired police officers to carry concealed weapons after passing firearm qualifications and the Police Chief's approval. Further resolved, that the Finance Department create a separate account for the $100 fee required from the retired police officers who, pursuant to the Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act of 2004 (HR218), Public Law 108-277, 18 U.S.C. 926C, are allowed to carry concealed weapons after passing firearm qualifications and receive the Police Chief''s approval. Fiscal Note: There will be no cost to the City.
