Resolved, that the Staff Officers Association of the Racine Police Department 2018-2020 collective bargaining agreement is approved as submitted.
Fiscal Note: The 2018 increases of 1% on January 1, 2018, and 1% plus $0.14 per hour on July 1, 2018 amount to approximately $64,500.00 in wages plus $12,900.00 in benefits (FICA, Medicare and WRS) for a total of $77,400.00 over 2017. The 2019 increases of 1% on January 1, 2019, and 1% plus $0.08 per hour on July 1, 2019 amount to approximately $55,900.00 in wages plus $11,200.00 in benefits for a total of $67,100.00 over 2018. The 2020 increases of 1.25% on January 1, 2020 and 1.25% on July 1, 2020 amount to approximately $54,700.00 in wages plus $10,900.00 in benefits for a total of $65,600.00 over 2019. Fiscal Note: The 2018 increases of 1% on January 1, 2018, and 1% plus $0.14 per hour on July 1, 2018 amount to approximately $64,500.00 in wages plus $12,900.00 in benefits (FICA, Medicare and WRS) for a total of $77,400.00 over 2017. The 2019 increases of 1% on January 1, 2019, and 1% plus $0.08 per hour on July 1, 2019 amount to approximately $55,900.00 in wages plus $11,200.00 in benefits for a total of $67,100.00 over 2018. The 2020 increases of 1.25% on January 1, 2020 and 1.25% on July 1, 2020 amount to approximately $54,700.00 in wages plus $10,900.00 in benefits for a total of $65,600.00 over 2019. The cumulative costs of the contractual increases over the three year period amount to approximately $462,600.00 in wages and $92,300.00 in benefits for a total cost of $554,900.00. Base wages will increase by 7.38% and $0.22 per hour over the term of the contract.
