Title: Permission granted, with stipulations, for the Boy Scouts to use North Beach or Pershing Park the weekend of August 19-21, 2011 for their Camporee weekend Resolved, that permission be granted to the the Boy Scouts to use Pershing Park the weekend of August 19-21, 2011 for their Camporee weekend, under the assumption that the area used at Pershing Park is exclusive only the evening of August 20 and to work with PRCS staff to address safety concerns. Further resolved, that permission be granted with the following stipulations: A. A Hold Harmless Agreement be executed. $50.00 processing fee charged for the Hold Harmless Agreement; B. Proof of liability insurance be filed prior to the event; C. Any overtime costs incurred by any City department be charged to the sponsor; D. The sponsor shall pay a $300.00 per day special event fee and a $350 deposit fee. Resolved, that permission be granted to the the Boy Scouts to use Pershing Park the weekend of August 19-21, 2011 for their Camporee weekend, under the assumption that the area used at Pershing Park is exclusive only the evening of August 20 and to work with PRCS staff to address safety concerns.
 
Further resolved, that permission be granted with the following stipulations:
 
A.  A Hold Harmless Agreement be executed.  $50.00 processing fee charged for the Hold Harmless Agreement;
B.  Proof of liability insurance be filed prior to the event;
C.  Any overtime costs incurred by any City department be charged to the sponsor;
D.  The sponsor shall pay a $300.00 per day special event fee and a $350 deposit fee.
 
Further resolved, that the Commissioner of Public Works/City Engineer, Chief of Police, and Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services provide limited assistance, in the interest of public safety, to implement this event.
 
Fiscal Note:  There will be nominal costs to various City departments, on a regular shift basis, to assist in implementing this event.
