Title: Subject: Communication from a representative of Salmon-A-Rama requesting to close the turn-arounds at Festival Park on Festival Park Drive and Christopher Columbus Causeway. Recommendation: Salmon-A-Rama be granted permission to close 5th Street from the Civic Center Parking Ramp to Festival Park Drive, Festival Park Drive from Fifth Street to Sam Johnson Parkway, and the turnaround adjacent to Christopher Columbus Causeway, on July 20-23, 2006, in accordance with their request. Further recommends that permission be granted with the following stipulations: A. A hold harmless agreement be executed. B. A liability insurance certificate be filed prior to this event. C. Any overtime costs incurred by any City department be charged to the sponsor. D. The sponsor shall notify all abutting property owners seventy-two (72) hours in advance of this event. E. Recommendation: Salmon-A-Rama be granted permission to close 5th Street from the Civic Center Parking Ramp to Festival Park Drive, Festival Park Drive from Fifth Street to Sam Johnson Parkway, and the turnaround adjacent to Christopher Columbus Causeway, on July 20-23, 2006, in accordance with their request.
 
Further recommends that permission be granted with the following stipulations:

Further recommends that the Commissioner of Public Works/City Engineer and Chief of Police provide limited assistance, in the interest of public safety, to implement this event.
 
Fiscal Note: There will be nominal costs to various City departments, on a regular shift basis, to assist in implementing this event.
