Ordinance 05-16 - Created; Composition
To revise and amend Sec. 2-276. - Created; Composition in Chapter 2 - Administration, Article III - Boards, Committees, Commissions, Division 9. - Traffic Commission of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin.
The Common Council of the City of Racine, Wisconsin, do ordain as follows:
Part 1: Revise Sec. 2-276. - Created; Composition of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin, by repealing the words “the chairman” in the first sentence and replacing it with “a member.”
Part 2: Amend Sec. 2-276. - Created; Composition of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin, by adding the following after the last sentence:
“The public works and services committee shall select an alderman from among its membership, to serve on the traffic commission, at its first meeting following the common council’s annual organizational meeting.”
Part 3: This ordinance shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the members-elect of the City Common Council and publication or posting as required by law.
