ORDINANCE NO. 27-05
To amend Sec. 90-53 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Taxation; Transient Lodging Tax - Imposed.
Recommendation: Ordinance No. 27-05 be adopted.
Fiscal Note: The transient lodging tax rate will be increased from 6% to 8%.

To amend Sec. 90-53 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Taxation; Transient Lodging Tax - Imposed.
The Common Council of the City of Racine do ordain as follows:
Part 1:
Sec. 90-53 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by changing in the second sentence the word “six” to “eight”.
Part 2:
This ordinance shall take effect January 1, 2006.
