Church Work, Inc.
Resolved, that the request from Max Dershem representing the Dekoven Foundation for Church Work Inc., seeking a conditional use permit to allow commercial meeting space and hall rental facilities as an accessory use to an existing private retreat and conference center at 600 - Twenty-First Street is approved, subject to the following conditions:
a. That the plans presented to the Plan Commission on August 8, 2012 are approved subject to the conditions contained herein.
b. That all applicable codes and ordinance be complied with and all applicable permits acquired.
c. That there be compliance with building capacity limitations as determined by the Building Department.
d. That all use of Taylor Hall, The Great Hall or the Assembly Hall facilities for meetings and events not affiliated with the DeKoven Foundation for Church Work shall be held indoors, or within the quadrangle unless otherwise approved by the Director of City Development.
e. That parking for all non-affiliated meetings and events be contained on-site.
f. That a security plan be provided for the review and approval of the Director of City Development.
g. That no signs are permitted on or off the site for non-affiliated meetings or events.
h. That the types of non-affiliated meetings or events permitted at this meeting facility shall be those for church groups, school groups, municipal groups, educational seminars and classes, professional or association meetings, weddings and other family celebrations, indoor music events sponsored by other philanthropic or charitable organizations.
i. That the maximum days and hours of operation for non-affiliated meetings or events be from 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 a.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
j. That “No Loitering” signs be posted at conspicuous locations.
k. That all trash and recyclables be stored in closed containers and screened from view.
