Subject: Communication sponsored by the Mayor and Alder West, on behalf of the Finance Director, requesting permission to accept a grant from the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration in the amount of $9 million for general operations and public safety video surveillance solutions and related equipment (Grant Control #0531).
Recommendation of the Finance and Personnel Committee on 11-13-2023: That the grant be accepted and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute the agreement with the State of Wisconsin Department of Administration in the amount of $9 million for general operations and public safety video surveillance solutions and related equipment (Grant Control #0531).
Fiscal Note: The City will receive $1.5M for public safety video surveillance equipment and $7.5M for general operations. Funds will be used in 2024, 2025, and 2026. The grant ends September 30, 2026.
