Title: AGREEMENTS WITH HUD FOR CHILDHOOD LEAD POISONING WHEREAS, Resolution No. 06-6967 of April 5, 2006 authorized that up to $15,000 be allocated from the Local Option Fund to the Racine Health Department to hire a grant writer to assist in developing an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for grant funding to end childhood lead poisoning; and WHEREAS, the Health Department is desirous of obtaining assistance to develop an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for grant funding for a program to end childhood lead poisoning; and WHEREAS, the Health Department is desirous of obtaining services of a technical advisor to assist in developing an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for grant funding to end childhood lead poisoning. Title

AGREEMENTS WITH HUD FOR CHILDHOOD LEAD POISONING

 

 

WHEREAS, Resolution No. 06-6967 of April 5, 2006 authorized that up to $15,000 be allocated from the Local Option Fund to the Racine Health Department to hire a grant writer to assist in developing an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for grant funding to end childhood lead poisoning; and

 

WHEREAS, the Health Department is desirous of obtaining assistance to develop an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for grant funding for a program to end childhood lead poisoning; and

 

WHEREAS, the Health Department is desirous of obtaining services of a technical advisor to assist in developing an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for grant funding to end childhood lead poisoning.

 

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to enter into a Services Agreement with The Coalition to End Childhood Lead Poisoning Inc., at a cost of up to $10,000, for developing an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for grant funding for a program to end childhood lead poisoning.

 

FURTHER RESOLVED, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to enter into a Services Agreement with APJ Services, LLC in the amount of $5,000, to assist in developing an application to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) for grant funding to end childhood lead poisoning.

 

 

 

FISCAL NOTE:  There are sufficient funds in the Local Option Fund.
