PUBLIC HEARINGS ON 2006 SPECIAL ASSESSMENT RATES FOR 2007 CONSTRUCTION

RESOLVED, that the proposed special assessment rates for 2006 public hearings on street improvements (2007 construction) for portland cement concrete paving, portland cement concrete curb and gutter, and sewer and water services be as follows:
Portland Cement Concrete Paving
Residential Zoning-36' wide $42.00/front foot
Commercial Zoning-36' wide $55.00/front foot
Industrial Zoning-36' wide $65.00/front foot
Industrial Zoning-48' wide $100.00/front foot
Portland Cement Concrete Curb and Gutter
7" Pavement $15.00/front foot
10" Pavement $17.00/front foot
Sewer and Water Services $6,500.00/each
FURTHER RESOLVED, that these special assessment rates become effective upon passage of the Common Council for all preliminary resolutions.
FURTHER RESOLVED, that these rates apply to all streets unless the actual construction cost is less, then the front foot cost shall be reduced accordingly.

Fiscal Note: These rates are established so that the abutting property owner pays for 100% of the cost of such street improvements.
