Recommendation of the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services on 7-11-12:  To approve the communication from Racine Yacht Club and Catamaran Racing Association requesting permission to use city parking lots located immediately next to RYC in conjunction with a scheduled Regatta August 3, 2012 through August 12, 2012 and waiver of ordinance 70.104 for overnight parking of vehicles and trailers.
 
Further recommend that permission be granted with the following stipulations:
 
A.  A hold harmless agreement be executed;
B.  Proof of liability insurance be filed prior to this event;
C.  Any overtime costs incurred by any City department be charged to the sponsor;
 
Further recommends that the Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, and Chief of Police provide limited assistance, in the interest of public safety, to implement this event.
 
Fiscal Note:  $200.00 in revenue.  There will be nominal costs to various City departments, on a regular shift basis to assist in implementing this event.
