Subject: Communication sponsored by Mayor Mason on behalf of the City Administrator requesting approval to enter into an agreement with the Racine Zoological Society, Inc., to identify a site for the construction of a Conservation Education Center, and to approve a ground lease for a the construction of a Maintenance Center and Veterinary Hospital, on City of Racine-owned land within the Racine Zoo to the Racine Zoological Society, Inc.
Staff Recommendation: That the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to enter into an agreement with the Racine Zoological Society, Inc., as presented, and that appropriate City staff be authorized and directed to execute and record such documents and take such steps as are necessary to carry the agreement into effect.
