Title: ORDINANCE NO. 30-06 To amend Sec. 18-42 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Buildings and building regulations - Substitute for buildings; use and placement restricted. The Common Council of the City of Racine do ordain as follows: Part 1: Sec. 18-42 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by inserting "(a)" at the beginning of the first paragraph and by inserting the following new paragraph at the end of the section: "(b) Temporary Permit. The use of any substitute for a building shall be temporary in nature. Upon compliance with all other conditions for a permit under this section, the chief building inspector may grant a permit only in the form of a temporary and revocable permit for a period not to exceed twelve months, and further subject to such conditions as will safeguard the public health, safety, convenience and general welfare. To amend Sec. 18-42 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Buildings and building regulations - Substitute for buildings; use and placement restricted.

 

The Common Council of the City of Racine do ordain as follows:

 

Part 1:

 

Sec. 18-42 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by inserting "(a)" at the beginning of the first paragraph and by inserting the following new paragraph at the end of the section:

 

"(b)  Temporary Permit.  The use of any substitute for a building shall be temporary in nature.  Upon compliance with all other conditions for a permit under this section, the chief building inspector may grant a permit only in the form of a temporary and revocable permit for a period not to exceed twelve months, and further subject to such conditions as will safeguard the public health, safety, convenience and general welfare.  Requests for renewal for like terms shall be made to the chief building inspector.  Denial of a permit under this section may be appealed to the building board of appeals."

 

Part 2:

 

This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and the day after publication.
