Permission granted to Racine Yacht Club to utilize parking area at North Rooney Recreational Area and City-owned parking lot south of Barker Street between August 6-13, 2010, for the U.S. National F-18 Catamaran Sailing Championships
Resolved, that the Racine Yacht Club be granted permission to utilize the parking area at the North Rooney Recreational Area and the City-owned parking lot south of the eastern terminus of Barker Street, between August 6-13, 2010, for the U.S. National F-18 Catamaran Sailing Championships.
Further resolved, that permission be granted with the following stipulations:
A. A hold harmless agreement be executed;
B. Proof of liability insurance be filed prior to this event;
C. Any overtime costs incurred by any City department be charged to the sponsor;
D. The sponsor shall notify all abutting property owners seventy-two (72) hours in advance of this event.
Further resolved, that the Commissioner of Public Works/City Engineer, Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services Department, and Chief of Police provide limited assistance, in the interest of public safety, to implement this event.
Fiscal Note: There will be nominal costs to various City departments, on a regular shift basis, to assist in implementing this event.
