Subject: (Direct Referral) Review of a plan for the relocation and expansion of a monument sign(having an electronic sign) at 1 Main Street.
Recommendation of the Downtown Area Design Review on 8-2-07: That the plans for the relocation of a monument sign and electronic sign at 1 Main Street be approved, subject to the following conditions:
a. That the plan present to the Downtown Area Design Review Commission of August 2, 2007 be approved subject to the conditions contained herein.
b. That the sign’s height not be increased.
c. That the sign be located north of the flag pole.
d. That the new sign panel remain blank until such time as building signage be removed that is of equal or greater square footage.
e. That all signs be professionally made and all applicable permits applied for.
f. That no minor changes be made to the conditions of this approval without the review and approval of the Director of City Development, and no major changes be made without the approval of the Downtown Area Design Review Commission.
g. That this relocation approval is granted due to the grandfathered nature of the sign, as long as its height does not increase and overall sign square footage on the site does not increase as a result of the sign face reconfiguration.
