Title: Subject: Communication from the Commissioner of Public Works/City Engineer submitting Amendment No. 1 to the Janitorial Service Contract. Recommendation of the Public Works and Services Committee on 5-8-07 : The City of Racine adopt and implement the Green Seal Environmental Standards GS-37 and GS-42 for all departmental purchases and contractual services including private firms managing city facilities. Further recommends that Amendment No. 1 to the janitorial services contract for the Building Complex Division be approved in the amount of $8,250.00. Further recommends that this item be referred to the Finance and Personnel Committee to appropriate the necessary funding. Fiscal Note: The Green Seal Standard provides specifications for the provision of janitorial cleaning products which meet minimum environmental requirements. Fiscal Note:  The additional cost will be considered in the 2008 budget.
