CHARTER ORDINANCE
To amend Secs. 2-1 and 2-2, and to repeal and recreate Sec. 2-186 of the Charter Ordinances of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Term of office - City engineer - duties.
Recommendation: Charter Ordinance be adopted.

To amend Secs. 2-1 and 2-2, and to repeal and recreate Sec. 2-186 of the Charter Ordinances of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Term of office - City engineer - duties.
The Common Council of the City of Racine do ordain as follows:
Part 1:
Secs. 2-1 and 2-2 of the Charter Ordinances of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by deleting the phrase “city engineer,” in both sections.
Part 2:
Sec. 2-186 of the Charter Ordinances of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby repealed and recreated to read:
“The commissioner of public works shall also be the city engineer.”
Part 3:
This ordinance shall take effect upon passage and 60 days after publication.
