Title: Request permission to use City right-of-way on Saturday, December 3, 2011 for the Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis Racine 2010. Resolved, that Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis be granted permission to close Island Park Drive from Liberty Street to Rupert Boulevard, Horlick Park Drive from Rupert Boulevard to 12th Street, and Domanik Drive from Spring Street to Jefferson Street for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis, to be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the following stipulations: A. A hold harmless agreement be executed. B. A liability insurance certificate be filed prior to this event. C. Any overtime costs incurred by any City department be charged to the sponsor. D.The sponsor shall notify all abutting property owners seventy-two (72) hours in advance of this event. E. That access to the pathway for general public use is available at all times. F. Resolved, that Jingle Bell Run for Arthritis be granted permission to close Island Park Drive from Liberty Street to Rupert Boulevard, Horlick Park Drive from Rupert Boulevard to 12th Street, and Domanik Drive from Spring Street to Jefferson Street for the Jingle Bell Run/Walk for Arthritis, to be held on Saturday, December 3, 2011, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., with the following stipulations:

Further recommend, that the Commissioner of Public Works/City Engineer, Director of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Services and Chief of Police provide limited assistance, in the interest of public safety, to implement this event.
 
Fiscal Note:  There will be nominal costs to various City departments, on a regular shift basis, to assist in implementing this event.
