Part 2: Section 18-706 (4) b. of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by changing the word “of” to “to” at the end of the paragraph, and in (4) c., by adding the following phrase at the beginning of the first sentence, “An adequate number of”

To amend Secs. 18-693, 18-706 (4) b. and c., repeal and recreate Secs. 18-706 (5), (6), and (7), amend Secs. 18-706 (9) and (11), and repeal Sec. 18-706 (13) c. of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Building and Building Regulations - Property maintenance code.

Part 1:

Section 18-693 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by deleting the phrase “with respect to the provisions of section 18-706(9), (12) and (16), section 18-709, and section 18-710”.

Part 2:

Section 18-706 (4) b. of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended by changing the word “of” to “to” at the end of the paragraph, and in (4) c., by adding the following phrase at the beginning of the first sentence, “An adequate number of” ... .

Part 3:

Sections 18-706 (5), (6), and (7) of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine are hereby repealed and recreated to read as follows:

“(5) Plumbing facilities. Every dwelling unit shall have plumbing facilities connected and maintained according to the Racine Plumbing Code.

(6) Heating facilities. Every dwelling unit shall have heating facilities installed and maintained according to the Racine Building Code. The heating facilities shall maintain the temperature of all habitable rooms, bathrooms and toilet rooms located therein at a minimum of 67 degrees F measured at three feet from the floor and at least three feet from an exterior wall, when the outside temperature is -10 degrees F or more.

(7) Electric facilities. Every dwelling unit shall be provided with electric service and all electric facilities shall be installed and maintained according to the Racine Electrical Code. All electric outlets and fixtures shall be maintained in a safe working condition.”

Part 4:

Section 18-706 (9), third sentence, of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine is hereby amended to read:
