Permission granted to the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works - Engineering to apply for a Wisconsin DNR Grant for a Streambank Erosion Condition Report Update
Whereas, the City of Racine desires to receive grant funding from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) pursuant to ss. 281.65 or 281.66, Wis. Stats., and chs. NR 151, 153, and 155, Wis. Adm. Code, for the purpose of implementing measures to control nonpoint source water pollution; and
Whereas, the City of Racine agrees to contribute the Local-Share (also called "match") needed for projects that are ultimately grant-funded by the WDNR; and
Now, therefore, be it resolved, that the City of Racine authorizes the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works - Engineering to sign and submit a grant application to the WDNR; and
The City of Racine authorizes the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works - Engineering to sign and submit an Environmental Hazard Assessment form to the WDNR, if applicable; and
The City of Racine authorizes the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works - Engineering to sign and submit a grant agreement between the City of Racine and the WDNR; and
The City of Racine authorizes the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works - Engineering to sign and submit signed quarterly and final report forms to the WDNR; and
The City of Racine authorizes the Assistant Commissioner of Public Works - Engineering to sign and submit a grant reimbursement requests to the WDNR.
Fiscal Note: The total amount of the study will be $100,000 . The Wisconsin DNR Grant will provide $70,000 and the City's cost will be $30,000 being available in the 2012 Storm Water Utility Budget.
