Title: Subject: (Direct Referral) Communication from the Transit and Parking System Manager requesting authorization from the Common Council to enter into agreements for distribution of BUS local share funding obligations based on fixed route mileage in each community with a provision for assessing the local share costs of Dial A-Ride Transit (DART) para-transit services to each unit of government based on actual monthly para-transit rides provided. The local partner communities are Mount Pleasant, Sturtevant, Caledonia and the Town of Yorkville. (Res. No. 14-0036) Recommendation of the Transit and Parking Commission on 01-15-14: That the Common Council be authorized to enter into cooperative funding agreements with partner communities for 2014 BUS operational funding including direct charges for 21.8% of the average cost to provide DART trips actually provided. Fiscal Note: Local shares are budgeted in the 2014 Transit budget.
