That all requirements of the Building and Zoning code are complied with and all applicable building permits are applied for and received prior to installation. d. That the LED lighting be green. e. Conditional Use Permit for a monument sign with an electronic message center at Gateway Technical College, 1001 S. Main Street, be approved

Resolved, that the plans submitted by Rosie Olle of Michaels Signs for a sign plan review at 1001 S. Main Street, be approved, subject to the following conditions:

a. That the Site Plan presented to the City Plan Commission on May 12, 2010 be approved subject to the conditions contained herein.

b. That the sign meet the criteria of Ordinance 11-09, Section 114-1033(a): Electronic Signage for Educational Facilities, unless otherwise noted herein.

c. That all requirements of the Building and Zoning code are complied with and all applicable building permits are applied for and received prior to installation.

d. That the LED lighting be green.

e. That all signs be made and installed professionally.

f. That the sign be in compliance with the following recommendations of the Landmarks Preservation Commission:

1. Approval is for a national landmark property located at an educational institution.
2. Message change allowed only once per hour (no time and temperature allowed).
3. The electronic sign must be turned off between 10:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m.

g. That no minor changes be made to the conditions of approval without the review and approval of the Plan Commission and Downtown Area Design Review Commission, and that no major changes be made without the approval of the Common Council.

h. That by allowing installation of this sign, there shall be no temporary signs or banners on the property or in the parkway. Directional signs for special events will be permitted upon review by the Director of City Development.

i. That the landscape plan revised May 6, 2010, shall be installed as shown, noting that the planting bed with the 12” rise must not increase the sign height from grade over 6’.

j. That the lettering on the electronic portion of the sign may be 5” in height.
