Subject: (Direct Referral) Request by the Assistant Executive Director of City Development to apply for a US EPA Brownfield Clean Up Revolving Loan Fund (BC RLF) Supplemental Grant (Control #00034). (Res. No. 15-0157)
Recommendation of the Redevelopment Authority on 4-6-15: That the Director of City Development or his designee be authorized to act on the behalf of the Authority to submit to the US EPA an application for a supplemental grant to the BC-RLF, sign all forms and documents necessary, pay all fees, and take necessary action to undertake, direct, complete, and submit the supplemental grant application.
Recommendation of the Finance & Personnel Committee on 04/13/2015: Authorize that the Director of City Development to act on the behalf of the Authority to submit to the US EPA an application for a supplemental grant to the BC-RLF, sign all forms and documents necessary, pay all fees, and take necessary action to undertake, direct, complete, and submit the supplemental grant application (Control #00034).
Fiscal Note: It is estimated that the brownfield cleanup sites represent an estimated needs of funds in excess of $3,000,000.00. A 20% local match is required ($600,000.00 local match). Match funds are available via non-EPA grants, Tax Increment Districts, and the Intergovernmental Shared Revenue account (Control #00034).
