Subject: (Direct Referral) Communication from the Alderman of the 6th District, approved by the Common Council, that the Committee of the Whole meet to discuss taking the steps needed to have a presentation from SEWRPC and the DNR, regarding the pending diversion and return of Lake Michigan water to Waukesha, as requested in item 0170-16, which is still pending at the Committee of the Whole.
Recommendation of the Committee of the Whole on 08-16-2016: That the Common Council formally request a presentation from the Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission and from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources on the Waukesha project, water quality, and related matters, and invite the Office of the Mayor to join in such request. Further, that affected local and state officials shall also be invited to attend.
