Subject: Sole source procurement of a Wachs valve maintenance trailer and appurtenances
Recommendation: Approve waiving formal bidding procedures in accordance with State Statutes that allow for the waiving of public bids for the purpose of maintaining uniformity of equipment and services. Further recommends that the General Manager be authorized and directed to purchase the E. H. Wachs ERV750 with VITALS software, Kohler power pack, vacuum pump, pressure washer and debris tank from Water Utility Products for the price of $58,375.00, they being the sole source provider for this equipment. Funding to defray the cost of this item is provided for in the approved 2017 budget.
