Title: Resolution in Support of 2017 Wisconsin Joint Assembly Resolution 22 Regarding Employment Services for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin Legislature at present is considering a Joint Resolution, specifically 2017 Joint Assembly Resolution 22, urging the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services of the United States Department of Health and Human Services to reconsider its changes concerning participation in programs offered by facility-based day programs, training centers, and sheltered workshops and to permit individuals with developmental disabilities to freely choose the settings in which they wish to receive employment services; Further resolved, that the City of Racine supports 2017 Joint Assembly Resolution 22 and recommends the State of Wisconsin Legislature adopt such Joint Resolution; Further resolved, that this Resolution shall be distributed to Governor Scott Walker, Senator Van Wanggaard, Senator Robert Wirch, Representative Pe...

Resolution in Support of 2017 Wisconsin Joint Assembly Resolution 22 Regarding Employment Services for Individuals with Developmental Disabilities

 

WHEREAS, the State of Wisconsin Legislature at present is considering a Joint Resolution, specifically 2017 Joint Assembly Resolution 22, urging the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services of the United States Department of Health and Human Services to reconsider its changes concerning participation in programs offered by facility-based day programs, training centers, and sheltered workshops and to permit individuals with developmental disabilities to freely choose the settings in which they wish to receive employment services;

 

Further resolved, that the City of Racine supports 2017 Joint Assembly Resolution 22 and recommends the State of Wisconsin Legislature adopt such Joint Resolution;

 

Further resolved, that this Resolution shall be distributed to Governor Scott Walker, Senator Van Wanggaard, Senator Robert Wirch, Representative Peter Barca, Representative Cory Mason, Representative Thomas Weatherston, and Representative Robin Vos.
