Recommendation of the Public Safety and Licensing Committee on 9-25-18: That the communication from the Alderperson of the Third District requesting that the Common Council order the Chief of Police direct that all first offense possession of marijuana violations be issued civil ordinance citations as opposed to being referred for criminal charges, be deferred for 30 days so that the Police Department and City Attorney's Office can gather more information on this issue.
