Recommendation of the Finance & Personnel Committee on 10-21-2019: That Mayor, City Clerk, and the Interim Executive Director of the Redevelopment Authority or their designee, be authorized to accept a US EPA Brownfield Cleanup Grant for the Water Street Redevelopment Properties in the amount of $500,000 on behalf of the Redevelopment Authority, and to sign all forms and documents, pay all fees, and take all necessary action to undertake, direct, and complete the cleanup grant activities. (Grant Control #00217).

 

Fiscal Note: This grant is assigned Grant Control Number 00217. The grant amount received is $500,000 and a 20 percent local match of $100,000 is required and supported within the City’s current IG and CIP budgets (under expected costs related to the site preparation of the Water Street Redevelopment Area), and do not exclude other planned economic development projects.
