Subject: (Direct Referral) Communication sponsored by Mayor Mason seeking an amendment to the tax increment financing agreement with J. Jeffers & Co., regarding the Horlick Historic District (Belle City Square) at and near 2220 Northwestern Avenue.
Recommendation of Mayor Mason on 11-16-2021: That the amendment to the tax increment financing agreement with J. Jeffers & Co. regarding the Horlick Historic District at and near 2220 Northwestern Avenue be approved and that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized and directed to execute the agreement, and such related documents necessary to carry the agreement into effect, on the City’s behalf.
Fiscal Note: City loan to the developer will increase by $1 million. Funds are available in the intergovernmental revenue sharing fund and will be repaid by the developer over a 4 year term.
