Title: Subject: Communication sponsored by Mayor Mason requesting an allocation of up to $200,000 for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)-funded economic development activities. Recommendation of the CDBG Advisory Board on 8/11/2022: that the recommendation to the Common Council that $200,000 in FY 2021 CDBG funds be allocated to the Wisconsin Women’s business Initiative Corporation (WWBIC) for the provision of microenterprise (five or fewer employees, owner operated, low to moderate income) assistance with grants ranging from $5,000 - $15,000 and wrap around services providing technical assistance through training and one on one guidance be approved. Further, that the Mayor and City Clerk be authorized to execute all necessary written agreements. Fiscal Note: Sufficient funds exist to satisfy the obligation incurred through this proposed action.
