Subject: Oiso Student Visit Update
Skow reported that there are a total of three students from Oiso coming - one young woman and two young men. They will be here from July 20 through August 3. There are two possible host families, and they are looking for at least one more. Kennedy created an approval form that Skow will send to the two potential host families to complete and return. Erik Simpson has hosted in the past, and is currently in Japan. Skow will reach out to him. Committee members agree to visit potential host families as needed.
Monthly 'mini' meetings are taking place at the Racine Public Library to work on agendas and activities for the time the students are with us. Zuffa is working with Skow to plan activities. So far they include a welcome picnic with host families, a Kenosha day in Kenosha for a Kenosha Museum visit and Kingfish baseball game, lunch at the Racine Yacht Club (Caskey is working on this), Racine Concert Band on a Sunday evening, and trip to Hot Shot G...
