To amend Sec. 18-369(c) and create 18-369(e), (f) and (g) of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin relating to Building Code - Chimneys and Fireplaces; Outdoor fireplaces and outdoor cooking facilities.
The Common Council of the City of Racine do ordain as follows:
Part 1:
Section 18-369(c) of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin is hereby amended by adding the following after “(c) (2)”:
“(3) It shall be unlawful to burn more than three times a week in a permanent or portable outdoor fireplace unless a permit is obtained from the Fire Chief or his/her designee.
(4) It shall be unlawful to burn within ten (10) feet of a property line or structure.
(5) Burning shall be permitted between the hours of noon and 11:00 p.m. and shall be completely extinguished upon completion of the activity or by 11:00 p.m., whichever occurs first.”
Part 2:
Section 18-369 of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin is hereby amended by creating the following at the end of the section:
