Ord.0006-18 A Ordinance 0006-18 - Waterworks CommissionOrdinanceOrdinance 0006-18 - Waterworks Commission An ordinance to amend Chapter 98, Article II, of the Municipal Code of the City of Racine, Wisconsin. WHEREAS, the sheer number of commissions, boards, and authorities existing within the City of Racine governance structure is cumbersome and results in difficulty finding qualified persons to serve on such bodies; and WHEREAS, the Common Council finds that modification of the aldermanic membership of the Waterworks Commission is a more efficient means of fulfilling the mission of the commission; NOW, THEREFORE, the Common Council of the City of Racine, Racine County, Wisconsin, does ordain as follows: Part 1: Chapter 98, Article II, Section 98-33(a) is amended by deleting the words “one of whom shall be a member of the common council finance committee,” therefrom. Part 2: This ordinance shall take effect upon passage by a majority vote of the members-elect of the City of Racine Common Council and publication or posting as required by law.
